5 Months

Fall is here and I am so excited. The temperature doesn't really reflect the season quite yet, but I know it's just around the corner. I am so ready for the cool weather. This summer has been brutal and I can't wait to use our fireplace and get Benjamin a halloween costume!

Benjamin's 5 month birthday was Sunday and we realized that in his short 5 months, he has been to 5 states and flown on an airplane 4 times. I don't think I had been to 5 states until I was 10 years old! He has been to North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina obviously and this past weekend we all took our first trip to Indiana. We got to spend time with family and friends and see one of our oldest friends, Evan get married.

The little guy is doing wonderfully well. He is laughing a lot and ooing and gooing all the time. We have also conquered the first cold. The day before we went to Indiana, he came down with a runny nose and a little cough. He never ran a fever and it was very mild thankfully. It might have bothered me more than it bothered him.

It is so fun to watch his personality develop and see him figuring things out. He's really into lifting his bottom and grabbing his toes. He seems to want the world to know that he too has toes and feet. He is paying more and more attention to his toys, but his favorite things are still potato chip bags, solo cups and soda cans. I guess we know what to get him for Christmas!
